Support Quilting!
If you would like to help the museum continue and expand its work, there are many ways you can get involved. In addition to becoming a "Friend of Museum," you may wish to support one of the museum's funds for specific areas or participate in one of the many events held throughout the year. Click on subject below for how to get involved.
The Museum's Collection of Quilts represents the best of the best in quilting since the quilt revival in 1980. The museum needs to continually grow the collection to maintain the level of contemporary excellence for which its reputation is based. The Acquisitions Fund enables the museum to purchase works by today's leading artists, preserving the techniques and materials used by contemporary quilters.
Donors who give at least $500 to the Acquisition Fund will receive a leather bound, first edition copy of the book featuring the Oh Wow! Miniature Quilt Collection. If you would like to make a major gift donation to The National Quilt Museum, contact the museum's Chief Executive Officer, Frank Bennett at 270-442-8856, ext. 202 or fbennett@quiltmuseum.org.
You can also help the museum add to its collection through ArtCards for Acquisitions! Quilters are invited to create and donate 4" x 6" artcards to be sold in the Museum Shop with all proceeds benefiting the museum's Acquisitions Fund. Simply download the ArtCard Back and then send your creation to the museum! |
Paul Pilgrim was a strong supporter of all the museum's endeavors since the beginning. Together with Gerald Roy, Paul provided design assistance with the buildings interior space, served as curators for many important exhibits and worked to make this museum a top quality art institution.
As was his wish, contributions to the Paul Pilgrim Fund are used for enhancements to the museum's exhibit space. The growth of this fund is essential for features such as lighting and environmental controls that continually need improvements and upgrades. |
The Patricia J. Morris Educational Fund was established in 2003 in memory of the excellent writer, curator, teacher and judge of quilting. The Fund helps encourage quiltmakers to develop their skills through the educational opportunities available at The National Quilt Museum. Your donations to this fund are used for scholarships as well as the purchase of class supplies. |
